Responsibilities:
- Assist dermatologists and nurses with clinical procedures such as skin assessments, wound care, and minor surgical treatments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Apply dressings, remove sutures, and provide aftercare advice under supervision.
- Maintain and clean clinical equipment, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Support patients by providing basic skincare education and guidance.
- Accurately update patient records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), preferably in dermatology or a similar clinical setting.
- Knowledge of wound care, dressings, and minor dermatological procedures is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical environment.
- A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Flexibility to work varying shift patterns.
