If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Neonatal Nurse at a prestigious hospital in Scotland.

Position Overview: As a Neonatal Nurse, you will play a crucial role in caring for premature and ill newborns in our neonatal unit. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will provide specialised care to infants and support to their families during what can be a challenging time. Your responsibilities will include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing education and emotional support to parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonates following established protocols and standards of care.
  • Monitor and assess the health status of newborns, including vital signs, feeding, and respiratory status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • Educate and support parents in caring for their newborn, including breastfeeding support and infant care techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the UK.
  • Previous experience in neonatal nursing is required.
  • BLS and NLS certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
