We are seeking for Children’s Development Support Worker
Job Purpose:
As a Children’s Development Support Worker, you will provide essential support to children with developmental needs, assisting them in reaching their individual goals. You will work collaboratively with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to promote the overall well-being and development of children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with developmental delays or disabilities in daily activities, fostering independence and skill development.
- Assist with the implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each child are met.
- Engage children in therapeutic and recreational activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising team.
- Work closely with families to provide guidance, support, and information regarding their child’s development.
- Collaborate with educational staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with developmental needs (preferred).
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy and patience.
