Position: Chemotherapy Nurse

Responsibilities:

  • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assess their overall well-being during and after chemotherapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in oncology nursing.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid licence in the United Kingdom.
  • Specialisation in oncology nursing, with specific experience in chemotherapy administration.
  • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy drugs, their effects, and potential side effects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients and support to their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
