Position: Chemotherapy Nurse
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess their overall well-being during and after chemotherapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in oncology nursing.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid licence in the United Kingdom.
- Specialisation in oncology nursing, with specific experience in chemotherapy administration.
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy drugs, their effects, and potential side effects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients and support to their families.
