Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine – Wales

Position: Consultant in Acute Medicine
Location: Wales, UK
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to extend)
Duration: 24th June 2024 – 14th July 2024 (initially)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Start Date: 24th June 2024

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our team in Wales. This full-time position is available from 24th June 2024 to 14th July 2024, with the potential for extension. The role involves performing post-take rounds in the emergency department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality acute medical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct post-take rounds in the emergency department.
  • Provide high-quality acute medical care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized management plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in case discussions and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in acute medicine.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full GMC registration.
  • Extensive experience in acute medicine at the consultant level.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
