About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Elderly Medicine, with a preference for those with expertise in Ortho-Geriatrics, to join our team in North West England. This position offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work either 3 or 4 days a week, starting immediately. The role involves providing high-quality care to elderly patients, managing complex cases, and contributing to the ortho-geriatric and frailty services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive ward rounds and provide patient-centered care.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions in elderly patients.
- Collaborate with the orthopaedic team to provide ortho-geriatric care.
- Conduct frailty sessions and manage complex care cases.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in geriatric medicine.

Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Extensive experience in geriatric medicine at the consultant level.
- Expertise in ortho-geriatrics is advantageous.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
