Position: Consultant in Oncology (Medical Oncologist, Breast)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Oncology, specializing in Medical Oncology for Breast Cancer, to join our team in North Wales. This full-time position is available immediately and will run until 2nd September 2024, with the potential for extension. The role involves providing high-quality oncology care to breast cancer patients, contributing to the overall medical oncology services, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive oncology care to breast cancer patients.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage chemotherapy and other systemic therapies.
- Collaborate with surgical and radiation oncologists, as well as other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in oncology and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Extensive experience in oncology, with a focus on breast cancer.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
