National Locums are working on behalf on of an NHS trust based in Sussex looking for a locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine.
The Medicine department based in an NHS trust in Sussex are looking for a locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to start on 10th February until 30th April in the first instance.
This is a full-time post covering Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00. Duties and skills will be as per below:
- Daily work on HASU including attending stroke calls and assessing patients for thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Daily TIA clinics
- OP stroke clinic (held weekly but shared between colleagues). Potential to expand this service including virtual and face to face appointments
- Attendance at daily board rounds and MDTs
- A rehabilitation WR and MDT at the Rehabilitation Centre
- Please note that all the above duties are shared between colleagues to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Provisional Timetable
The job plan will be based on 10 PAs to include 8 DCC PAs and 2 SPAs and will allow for flexible working and time shifting.
This will be worked flexibly over a seven-day working week. It is anticipated that patient related administration would be performed within the confines of 8 PAs.

- Relevant qualifications
- Minimum 12 months NHS experience in Stroke Medicine
