Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, ensuring prompt intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and care plans to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Perform assessments, document patient history, and track changes in patient condition.
- Assist in emergency situations with effective decision-making and supportive measures.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the UK (ICU specialty certification preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in critical care nursing, particularly within the ICU setting.
- Strong knowledge of health care practices and protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift patterns and changing environments.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
