Position: Senior Doctor (Specialty Doctor/SAS Grade) in Anaesthetics
Location: Northern Ireland, UK
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to extend)
Duration: ASAP – 6 months initially
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
On-Call: To be discussed at the point of booking

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Doctor at Specialty Doctor/SAS Grade in Anaesthetics to join our team in Northern Ireland. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible for an initial period of six months, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will run solo theatre lists and work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. On-call responsibilities will be discussed at the point of booking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality anaesthetic care for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Manage solo theatre lists independently.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in anaesthesia.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Significant experience in anaesthetics at the Specialty Doctor/SAS Grade level.
- Proficiency in managing solo theatre lists.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
