Position: SHO in Paediatrics A&E
Location: Northern Ireland

End Date: 11th August 2024 (with possibility of extension)
Salary: Competitive Hourly Rates

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SHO in Paediatrics A&E to join our team in Northern Ireland. This is a full-time, fixed-term position starting immediately and running until 11th August 2024, with the potential for extension. The role involves working a full shift rota, providing comprehensive emergency care to paediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality medical care to paediatric patients in the A&E department.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments of a wide range of paediatric emergencies.
  • Work closely with senior clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Participate in handovers, ward rounds, and team meetings.
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full GMC registration.
  • Completion of Foundation Training (F1/F2) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in paediatrics or emergency medicine is desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
