Are you a compassionate and dedicated Midwife looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of expectant mothers and their families?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife to join healthcare team at a leading healthcare facility in Peterborough. As a Midwife, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to expectant mothers and their families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive antenatal care, including regular check-ups, assessments, and screenings.
  • Offer guidance and support to expectant mothers and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Conduct thorough examinations during labour to monitor the progress and well-being of both mother and baby.
  • Assist and facilitate the safe delivery of babies, ensuring the provision of optimal care during the birthing process.
  • Promote and support breastfeeding, providing education and assistance to new mothers.
  • Conduct postnatal assessments and provide postpartum care to mothers, offering advice on newborn care and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, to ensure holistic care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience working as a Midwife, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Sound knowledge of current midwifery practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centred care.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
