Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in the beautiful Channel Islands. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in providing specialized care to new-borns in our neonatal unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to new-borns in the neonatal unit, including premature infants and those with critical medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of new-borns, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate parents and families on new-born care, medical conditions, and treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in neonatal care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Stay current on advancements in neonatal care through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in conferences or seminars.
