You will work as part of a dynamic healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate nursing services.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Care Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health needs, including psychological, emotional, and social factors.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing specific mental health goals and interventions.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor their effects, including side effects and therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide counseling, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions to support patients in managing their mental health conditions and promoting recovery.
- Crisis Intervention and Management:
- Respond promptly to crisis situations, assessing risk and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety and de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, in developing crisis management plans and coordinating emergency responses.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and medication administration records, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
